Front-end Web design & development
I design the stuff you can see, the user interface, colors, layout, sometimes I also write the words. I am not a web programmer by any stretch of the imagination, though I am familiar with javascript, php, actionscript (in Flash). I’ve worked on development teams closely and know what’s possible with these technologies, so I subcontract the heavy-lifting programming tasks if there’s not an open-source alternative. I’m very familiar with WordPress, which is my Content Management System (CMS) of choice due to it’s ease of setup, use, flexibility and extensibility. I can set up a Linux/UNIX-based web server with the required stuff (PHP/MySQL) and get things up and running, too.
Graphic design
If it can be printed, I’ve probably designed it – from a tiny 1/2″ x 1/2″ sticker up to a large-format 10 foot x 20 foot booth graphics.
Photo touch-up, resizing, cropping, etc.
I have the industry-standard Adobe Photoshop CS3 as well as Adobe Lightroom. Both offer amazing creative possibilities.
